Is William Howard Taft a historical person?

Ok so at school we have pretend like were a historical person and write a paper about it. And so I chose William Howard Taft. And i am going to make a letter to someone but I don’t know who i should write to.So i need help with that. Thx!

    He was the heaviest president (27th) , and had to get his own custom made bathtub put in the whitehouse.
