    listen closely @ 8: …
listen closely @ 8:30. Sound familiar to today’s health care proposal? People in congress don’t really understand the why people are so angry, it’sis because they don’t want government health care to lead to socialism. “Pass it quickly” before the people realize it. Let congress know we realize it. Look you can fix the health care system by allowing less insurance mergers thus making competition, and addressing Malpractice insurance issue, and requiring everyone to get catastrophic insurance. .

    Leaders are a good …
Leaders are a good thing as long as the followers are allowed to question them. Some dictators stop criticism by violence, some by tradition and brainwash. Only direct democracy can guarantee rational and proven arguments.

  3. teemuruskeepaa Says:

    Man is not weak, …
Man is not weak, but oppressed by economic and social hierarchy. People are rendered unfree and taught their customs and manners are because of their character. This is just another ridiculous lie coming from the bourgeois. My direct democracy doesn’t just liberate from the Capitalist dictatorship. It also renders lazy people impossible by requiring that they prove their stance in the parliament. Lazy people would refuse and be excluded voluntarely. Survival forces people to seek cooperation

    teemuruskeepaa,

    teemuruskeepaa,

Won’t work ever. Socialism is a counterfiet of true principles that came before. The weakness in man prevents it from working. Corruption at the heads of governments and in the people. I say the people because of the desires of many to get something for nothing. This destroys their ability to be productive. There are countless examples of this in our own society. It would only work, in its pure form, with a perfectly just leader or with, dare I say it, a righteous people.

    I’m not waiting …
I’m not waiting around for my government check, & I’m not liberal. If I am that is news to me. Nice straw man. Build an image of a person you hate, believe that person is me- and attack it. Fortunately I am not stupid enough to make that mistake. He was the secretary of agriculture-so what? So are countless others you don’t care for. His position in the government is what allowed him to see these things- not “God”. Anyone can be a prophet when they see the obvious. Ex: Gerald Celente & P. Schiff

  7. fastpony71 Says:

    This ‘guy’ as you …
This ‘guy’ as you so casually put it, served as the Secretary of Agriculture and was in touch with the ways of government and whats more important, he was a true prophet of God and does know what he is talking about. I am tired of liberal whacko’s hammering on people who are successful and profitable. Success comes at a price and that price is hard work and ingenuity, characteristics that liberals don’t understand because they are always waiting by the mailbox for their next government check!

  8. PennyRoyaleTea Says:

This guy is so full …
This guy is so full of . Socialism is just as bad as capitalism, and you don’t think so I would like you to think about the biggest businesses, networks in America & consider how they got there, and where they are going-in comparison to the small fries. Real private business owners are dissolving along with the middle class while you support “freedom” and the founding fathers. What a load of crap. You’re only really supporting & serving the Rockefeller of the world. Elite bankers.

    Look up righteous …
Look up righteous in the index of the Book of Mormon. This will be a land of liberty forever for the righteous but the wicked will be swept off. We need to prepare ourselves, keep the commandments and stay close to Christ and we will be preserved by the hand of God no matter what happens.

    Freedom/Choice > force/coercion.

    Correct. Government …
    Correct. Government is inherently counterrevolutionary.

  13. snackwars Says:

    From what I …
From what I understand, you see the term ‘revolutionary’ as a positive adjective. Just for clarification to the readers, communism and socialism are evil and wicked forms of government.

  14. IggyHazard Says:

    When I think ” …
When I think “revolution,” I think of something positive. Something that liberates. So I can’t conceive of those ideologies being truly revolutionary.

There’s nothing revolutionary about communism, socialism, internationalism, or global government.

Ezra Taft Benson is brilliant. It’s amazing that he saw this so clearly so many years ago.

  19. randont Says:

    You’ve got part of …
You’ve got part of the equation right. It is also a fact that Marxism will always have two classes. The elite hiding behind the name of “The State” and the peasants or common man, you and I. You state that it was ruined by leadership, it will ALWAYS be ruined. It was created by them. Freedom is very misunderstood by you. Open your mind to the the truth. “The 5000 year leap” read it.

It is amazing to see that although these things have been told as a warning these many years aago, nothing has changed. We have continued down the road and the negative consequences forwarned are becoming reality! We must do something!!

    That was a great …
That was a great speech. I consider myself a socialist, but not a “political socialist.” There is a difference. Forced charity is an oxymoron; the philanthropy in one hand being canceled out by misanthropy in the other.

I have always admired President Benson for telling it like it is. I would like to have the text of this speech.

    @Teemu: Let’s …
@Teemu: Let’s discuss Private Ownership since you (and Marx) believe it’s the cause of all oppression. Clearly, you believe that individuals SHOULD NOT own their material possessions or income.

My question is: Do individuals [rightfully] have private ownership of anything? What about their thoughts? Their bodies? Their families? Their career choice and hobbies? Or does EVERYTHING (tangible & intangible) belong to the collective?
