Ezra Taft Benson-Warning
This is a excerpt from a talk given at BYU in 1966 entitled “Our Immediate Responsibility”.
Benson believed that a communist/socialist conspiracy was working within our country to subtly drive us, like cattle, into communism.
Many are finding the election of Obama to be evidence of this, but please consider how nicely he has been setup by the Bush and Clinton administrations’ executive power grabs. If you think that republicans aren’t in on this as well, you are thinking foolishly. Bush and McCain are also socialists.
After the fall of the Soviet Union, Communism spread through the world under new and deceptive names; “Democracy” and “Capitalism”. Not to be confused with the free market capitalism that Americans used to believe in. The secret combination, within our own country, has been plotting the overthrow of the world’s free people for nearly a hundred years, but their plan is at its climax. These are the powers that Benson was talking about, not just about the U.S.S.R.

Mr. Benson was correct in his warnings. Many others were also aware and spoke out. Today the conspiracy is out in the open and the people too dumb to see.

Currently there is a Libertarian movement that is being hijacked by the same national socialists in the republican party. They are stirring up violent emotions in conservatives against democrats, hoping they will act out…perpetuating the need for more control.

I am not suggesting and hope that others do not suggest that mr. Bensons words are prophecy in this case. Experience, wisdom, and a knowlege of history are the base for his statments here. The warnings against a world wide socialist movement where and are true. A government that uses its violent hand to force the people to surrender life, liberty, or property is hypocritical and outright satanic. These are God given rights to all who are born. It’s backward to suggest a government has the authority From God to take these rights away.

Communism doesnt bother me b/c in its truest form doesnt exist. Its Socailism that we have to be worried about. For instance, In Socialism “You have 2 cows, The govt takes them & puts them in a barn with every1 else’s cows. You have to take care of ALL of the cows. Also, if I may, these United States, our union was founded on principles of Christianity. All the founding documents clearly reveal that. Keep in mind they were Protestants who fled to this continent to escape the Catholic persecutions and rule of Law. They understood how damaging Religious Tyranny can be, but they understood the scriptures of the Holy Bible as the only source and teachings of true Freedom. Any study of American History will lead you directly to the teachings of the Reformation.

1. The philosophy of communism, from the point of view of Marxist theory, is that religious and family values have no place in a communist society.
2. I agree, but passing all warnings as fear mongering is not wise. preaching “all is well” is just as dangerous.
3. I agree that this more similar to what we are moving towards. The Terms communist, socialist, fascist, capitalist are all terms that don’t really mean much. We’re witnessing something different then Russian or Nazi Socialism.

1. atheism and communism arent synonymous – obviously his view is framed by religion and free market capitalism has nothing to do with being god-ful.

At the time of this speech, ETB wasn’t even the prophet of the church. Also, he didn’t declare it as prophecy. He was merely repeating the words of kruschev and waning us partiotically, to keep democracy alive.
Regardless of whether this was prophecy or not, the message rings true today. It was an inspired talke. Look at all of the socialist movements going on in our country from dems and repubs alike.
If you left this speech “empty-handed”, you are mentally handicapped.
