Why are Americans so against the gop and groups like US Chamber of Commerce taking foreign money?

Posted on October 25th, 2010 by admin in chamber of commerce | 5 Comments »

It appears that virtually all Americans think the gop and it’s backers like the Chamber of Commerce and various foreign investors (heavy $$$ from China?) are simply wrong and need to be transparent and perhaps even illegal.
Do you agree?
Should these folks be able to use foreign money to influence US elections? Should they be required to be transparent?

Your question can be answered by simply following the money trail. Why are corporation allowed to donate and buy commercial time; without disclosure as to where the funding originated. Should American be afraid that nations that have huge holdings in global corporations can easily affect our domestic elections.

What is the difference between a Business being on the Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau?

Posted on October 22nd, 2010 by admin in chamber of commerce | 1 Comment »

I am looking to invest in a company called "Triple -AAA" I cannot find them in the BBB but they claim to be in the Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization made up of local businesses…basically anyone with a business can join. The object of the CoC is to look out for the better interests of the business community and provide networking and educational opportunities to local businesses. The BBB is an independent organization that seeks to ensure that consumers have a voice when transactions go bad. The BBB attempts to reach a satisfactory conclusion to disagreements between the company and the consumer and provides a reporting service for consumers to allow them to determine which are the better companies in an area to do business with (based upon consumer complaints).

How dumb does this administration look attacking Chamber of Commerce?

Posted on October 19th, 2010 by admin in chamber | 16 Comments »

Chamber of Commerce – THE JOBS HUB OF AMERICA- funded republicans campaign because they KNOW the liberals hate the Private Sector and are destroying it.
Now the Obama administration is attacking the CHAMBER OF COMMERCE? WOW! SAD AND PATHETIC!

Extremely ignorant in my opinion as the Chamber of Commerce has long been a source much better than the government concerning the economy and is and Always has been an organization that promotes American business and American jobs, unlike the government. It is anti American to attack them in my opinion

Consumer Reports said on Monday that it could not recommend the iPhone 4 because of lingering reception problems.

The testing firm also challenged Apple’s official explanation that explained issues with the Phone 4’s signal-strength as due to software that "mistakenly displays 2 more bars than it should for a given signal strength."

When reports of problems with Apple’s new device first surfaced, Consumer Reports at first informally gave the all-clear sign. But after its engineers put the iPhone 4 through a battery of tests, Consumer Reports said that was unwilling to recommend the unit:

"…We reached this conclusion after testing all three of our iPhone 4s (purchased at three separate retailers in the New York area) in the controlled environment of CU’s radio frequency (RF) isolation chamber. In this room, which is impervious to outside radio signals, our test engineers connected the phones to our base-station emulator, a device that simulates carrier cell towers (see video: IPhone 4 Design Defect Confirmed). We also tested several other AT&T phones the same way, including the iPhone 3G S and the Palm Pre. None of those phones had the signal-loss problems of the iPhone 4.

Our findings call into question the recent claim by Apple that the iPhone 4’s signal-strength issues were largely an optical illusion caused by faulty software that "mistakenly displays 2 more bars than it should for a given signal strength."

The tests also indicate that AT&T’s network might not be the primary suspect in the iPhone 4’s much-reported signal woes.

It shows the fallacy of saying, "In Pod i trust". (This IS the R&S site, you know?)

How to remove oil from combustion chamber of a MTD ride-on lawn mower?

Posted on October 9th, 2010 by admin in chamber | 3 Comments »

The mower is having a lot of smoke when running. It happened before and I know it will be gone if I let it run for about 10 minutes. And I know it is because of the oil in combustion chamber. The question is how to remove the oil from the combustion chamber? Thanks in advance!

You problem is that you might have too much oil in the crank case, or the exhaust valve seal might be worn. I doubt that the rings are worn; likely, unless it 30 years old the engine is not old enough.

What’s the difference between the Lower and Upper Chamber of the Congress?

Posted on October 6th, 2010 by admin in chamber | 2 Comments »

I know that the Senate is the upper chamber and the House of Reps is the lower chamber, but how do their roles differ?

And what does it mean by lower and upper chamber?

Thanks in advance.

When the capital was in Philadelphia, Congress was housed in a small two floor building. The Senate met upstairs (the upper chamber) and the Reps met downstairs. All these years later the upper and lower stuck. Although now the reference is rarely used.

Their roles hardly differ now. Look to the 17th Amendment as to why.

Initially the Senate (2 per state) was selected by the legislature of each state, while the House of Representatives were elected by the citizens of the states. The idea was to have both the States and the People represented in the Legislative branch of government. The founders knew that the Federal government would try to expand and overstep their bounds. The Senate, the representatives of the States would stop the Feds from encroaching upon the rights of the States and would temper the wants of the people in the House of Reps. Achieving a balance of sorts.

The 17th Amendment gave the power to elect the Senate to the people. So now there is very little difference between the Senate and the House. All members look for reelection by buying votes from the citizens of their states and districts while the Fed gov expands and no one is there to represent the States. So now we have massive unfunded mandates pushed upon the states inching them to bankruptcy, a massive Federal government with seemingly unlimited powers, which is exactly the opposite of what the Founding Fathers had envisioned.

If you read deep into the Declaration of Independence you will see a list of grievances against King George. Many of which can be applied to our government today. Most of this stems from the 17th Amendment and the lack of representation on behalf of the individual States.

The States came together for common purpose. Common defense, fair commerce between them, and not much else. Now the only difference between the States are their names. It was never meant to be like this. The Federal Government has no business regulating education, farming, intrastate commerce, etc etc etc… those are activities reserved to each individual State to do as they see fit. See the 10th Amendment, the last of the Bill of Rights, which were the Amendments attached to the Constitution soon after it was ratified. The idea behind the 10th was to severely limit what the Federal Government could do to ONLY the things listed in the Constitution, nothing else. Everything else was reserved for the States or the Citizens.

Hope this helps.. I know it was way more than you asked for. Let me know if you get an A on your paper. Hope this gives you a good start.

What needs to be in the specifications for development of an e-Commerce website?

Posted on July 11th, 2010 by admin in commerce | 2 Comments »

Please specify what exactly needs to be in specifications for development of e-Commerce website? I need to deliver specifications to an oDesk provider I’m interviewing. Please keep in mind I’m a non technical person. What do I need to put in the specifications to tell them how I want the website to function and also be user friendly as well for customers visiting the site and making purchases? Thanks in advance for answering.

If you want something very un-technical use somethng like CubeCart CMS to create your eCommerce store. That way all the PHP and HTML is done for you, you just need to install it and add your products to it in a very simple user interface, once installed on your webserver it’s very much like selling on eBay to add new products/delete old ones, and you can link it to numerous payment gateways like PayPal, Google Checkout, etc.

You do need a webserver though with SQL and an SSL certificate to accept payments online (some stores do work without SSL but it’s not advisable, as it means your customers credit card details are being transmitted unsecurely through the internet, which most people don’t like and probably wont shop there).

What is the best site to use to start and e-commerce business?

Posted on July 8th, 2010 by admin in commerce | 2 Comments »

I’m trying to start an e-commerce business selling used DVDs and movies. I have the products readily available, but I’m looking for a good site I can use to make a website. The website or program should preferably be easy to use/make, allow me to put all the new movies online easily, be effective, and not too hurtful on my wallet.

Any suggestions of programs or websites I should use, or any programs you think would be helpful in general to start this business?

Thanks!

If you don’t have experiance with web design, PHP, etc. you must use some of shop which cost and have limits with number of products.

I developed shop for my friend on http://www.sweplay.com , he will add products over summer and now look empty but OpenCart has everything.

If you need more help please contact me for details. http://www.twitter.com/WebHostingTop5
