What does everyone thing about the US Chamber of Commerce’s opposition to rape victims?
he US Chamber of Commerce sent a letter to Congress saying that it would "set a dangerous precedent" to allow rape victims into court. The Chamber has enough clout to tie up the bill for years.
The following link is from the Kellogg, Brown & Root (kbr.com) website. In my opinion, it implies that chambers and businesses (such as theirs) who are protecting their financial interests are more important than protecting their employees and accepting responsibility when their company fails them. Incidentally, it was KBR who, in my opinion and many others, failed victim Jamie Leigh Jones. Thoughts, please?

Clarification: I am referring to the national lobbying group, not the government agency.
Sounds to me like a logical extension of the plutocratic, fascist, economical/political system we’ve been living under for the past 30 years or so.
Only the strong deserve protection. Only the rich deserve welfare. Only the well fed deserve food. Only the healthy deserve health care. Everyone else can die and better be quick about it.
If Ebenezer Scrooge worked in the Chamber of Commerce he’d tell all three ghosts to **** off and then he’d strangle tiny Tim.

I agree with you, however I am always confused by the term "Chamber of Commerce" because there is a government agency and a lobby company that both use that term. I think the US Chamber of Commerce is the lobby group and who cares what they think. The government agency I think has the word department in the title somewhere. It would be more disappointing if they are sticking up for rape.
