Is it possible to exercise in a hyperbaric chamber?

Posted on November 9th, 2010 by admin in chamber | 1 Comment »

I’ve heard that spending time in a hyperbaric chamber can make you feel like running around the world, but I would like to know if you can actually do physical exercise in a hyperbaric chamber without getting oxygen toxicity or experiencing other harmful effects.

Most are pretty small for running, but if you could find a spacious chamber with willing staff, sure! However, compression and decompression can pretty lengthy processes, so don’t plan on a few miles on the treadmill/bike/rower before school/work.

And as for feeling like running around the world, looks like the research evidence says no. Sorry.

How dumb does this administration look attacking Chamber of Commerce?

Posted on October 19th, 2010 by admin in chamber | 16 Comments »

Chamber of Commerce – THE JOBS HUB OF AMERICA- funded republicans campaign because they KNOW the liberals hate the Private Sector and are destroying it.
Now the Obama administration is attacking the CHAMBER OF COMMERCE? WOW! SAD AND PATHETIC!

Extremely ignorant in my opinion as the Chamber of Commerce has long been a source much better than the government concerning the economy and is and Always has been an organization that promotes American business and American jobs, unlike the government. It is anti American to attack them in my opinion

How to remove oil from combustion chamber of a MTD ride-on lawn mower?

Posted on October 9th, 2010 by admin in chamber | 3 Comments »

The mower is having a lot of smoke when running. It happened before and I know it will be gone if I let it run for about 10 minutes. And I know it is because of the oil in combustion chamber. The question is how to remove the oil from the combustion chamber? Thanks in advance!

You problem is that you might have too much oil in the crank case, or the exhaust valve seal might be worn. I doubt that the rings are worn; likely, unless it 30 years old the engine is not old enough.

What’s the difference between the Lower and Upper Chamber of the Congress?

Posted on October 6th, 2010 by admin in chamber | 2 Comments »

I know that the Senate is the upper chamber and the House of Reps is the lower chamber, but how do their roles differ?

And what does it mean by lower and upper chamber?

Thanks in advance.

When the capital was in Philadelphia, Congress was housed in a small two floor building. The Senate met upstairs (the upper chamber) and the Reps met downstairs. All these years later the upper and lower stuck. Although now the reference is rarely used.

Their roles hardly differ now. Look to the 17th Amendment as to why.

Initially the Senate (2 per state) was selected by the legislature of each state, while the House of Representatives were elected by the citizens of the states. The idea was to have both the States and the People represented in the Legislative branch of government. The founders knew that the Federal government would try to expand and overstep their bounds. The Senate, the representatives of the States would stop the Feds from encroaching upon the rights of the States and would temper the wants of the people in the House of Reps. Achieving a balance of sorts.

The 17th Amendment gave the power to elect the Senate to the people. So now there is very little difference between the Senate and the House. All members look for reelection by buying votes from the citizens of their states and districts while the Fed gov expands and no one is there to represent the States. So now we have massive unfunded mandates pushed upon the states inching them to bankruptcy, a massive Federal government with seemingly unlimited powers, which is exactly the opposite of what the Founding Fathers had envisioned.

If you read deep into the Declaration of Independence you will see a list of grievances against King George. Many of which can be applied to our government today. Most of this stems from the 17th Amendment and the lack of representation on behalf of the individual States.

The States came together for common purpose. Common defense, fair commerce between them, and not much else. Now the only difference between the States are their names. It was never meant to be like this. The Federal Government has no business regulating education, farming, intrastate commerce, etc etc etc… those are activities reserved to each individual State to do as they see fit. See the 10th Amendment, the last of the Bill of Rights, which were the Amendments attached to the Constitution soon after it was ratified. The idea behind the 10th was to severely limit what the Federal Government could do to ONLY the things listed in the Constitution, nothing else. Everything else was reserved for the States or the Citizens.

Hope this helps.. I know it was way more than you asked for. Let me know if you get an A on your paper. Hope this gives you a good start.

How to approach Chamber of Commerce about creating a local youth/teen volunteer organization?

Posted on July 6th, 2010 by admin in chamber | 2 Comments »

I live in a small town and while I enjoy volunteering, there do not seem to be any volunteer opportunities around here other than school clubs during the school year. I was thinking about contacting the local Chamber of Commerce to see if a teen volunteer organization can be started to help out year round in the community. What is the best way to approach them about it?

Just like you did here…explain why you want to help; what you want accomplished; ask for help. If you are sincere and polite..really, that’s all it takes.
Our town is small; fewer than 1500 people total. We have food drives; "Oodles of Noodles" is a pasta drive that is usually very successful for the food pantry. Collect new toothbrushes and hairbrushes for the domestic abuse shelter. Collect blankets, hats, gloves for the homeless shelter. Collect used blankets and towels for the animal shelter.
The need is great; the opportunities are endless

Hope this helps.

A red blood cell is moving through an artery in your leg. Describe the path that the blood cell will follow back to your heart. Identify the chamber of the heart to which it will return.

What are some good chamber works arranged for 3 violins and a cello?

Posted on June 5th, 2010 by admin in chamber | 3 Comments »

We have a string quartet at our school and we don’t have any violas so we use a third violin. We are currently all above grade 8 standard. What are some good chamber works that we can use?

Benjamin Franklin, of all people, wrote a composition for that combination.

You are probably aware that a harpsichord is all you lack for the Taco Bell Canon.

Can someone tell me what a chamber room is used for in a victorian house?

Posted on May 27th, 2010 by admin in chamber | 3 Comments »

My house plans on my 1854 home has a large room 12 x 12 that is called a chamber room, its not a bedroom because bedrooms are next to it and smaller. What is it for?

I believe it is the bedroom or just another large parlor room in the house.

Back then some houses had chamber maids…who would most likely bunk near the large room, which would explain the smaller rooms near it.

If it’s large enough use it as a sort of family room.

How would you relate this chamber ensemble to modern performing groups such as the jazz quartet? Or to a rock ensemble? What are some of the similarities and differences?

Any help?

Sounds like someone is trying to cheat on their homework.
