Have you taken your child in the Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber?
Our ten month old baby boy suffered a TERRIBLE brain injury from his 8 month vaccines. We have been working with doctors and doing everything we can for the last two months to bring him ‘back’ to us. We are supposed to start 90 minute sessions in the Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber on Monday and although I know it has had amazing results for children on the autism spectrum (and people with a wide variety of consitions)…we are still VERY nervous.
I’m just wondering if anyone with experience can tell me your thoughts? how was it? did it hurt your child’s EARS?? was there anything negative about it? Would you recommend it and do it again?
any first hand info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
I am a behavior therapist and participated in a HBOT study with kids with autism. I actually went into the HBOT chamber with the child and did therapy with the child inside. I did quite a few dives with various kids.
Overall, I think there were very few problems. Some kids didn’t want to go in at first but eventually all of the kids got used to it. I think it was harder for me then the children. I had a few occassions of ear issues, a couple that were pretty bad, but I don’t recall the kids really having this issue. The chambers we used also would get pretty hot in there with an adult and a child inside. We brought in portable fans and bottled water to help with this. This might not be an issue with the chamber that you will use however. I wouldn’t choose to live my life in an HBOT chamber but it wasn’t a terrible experience. Really I think the worst part for the kids was the initial dives and then they got used to it.
I think HBOT is a worthy consideration.
Philippine General Hospital located in Taft Avenue, in Ermita?
I read in another answer The Philippine General Hospital located in Taft Avenue corner Padre Faura in Ermita, Malate, is a free hospital and has free clinics.
Is the services at PGH suitable for foreigners. I am in interested in a physical and blood workup while in Manila. Any idea what the fee to a foreigners would be? Do they have dental section?
Hi.
Philippine General Hospital is a tertiary hospital in Manila.
It has all the services you could possibly ask or think. It is suitable for all people, whether you are a Filipino or a foreigner.
For the fees, it has two sections: a pay section, and a charity section. If you are a foreigner, then the pay section of the Physical Examination and Blood Chemistry Labs would be better: faster service, accurate results, and rapid releasing. There will be a fee – it is minimal, of course, than other Private Hospitals in Manila. Theoretically, the fee is the same for all patients, whether Filiinos or foreigners.
As the PGH is a General Hospital, you can find a Dentistry section there. For obvious reasons, I suggest that you be a "pay patient" rather than a "charity patient".
Pay patients are always handled by doctors, while the Charity patients are always handled by the medical interns and medical students.
How much should I pay for an e-commerce website?
I have received quotes, but wanted more of an idea. The e-commerce site would be custom designed and I have over 1000 products with approximately 6 different categories. I would also need continuous update services and marketing.
I got my e-commerce website made for $550 which is hosted at Hostmonster

How do u feel about barbara boxer getting her arse handed to her by that guy from black chamber of commerce?
She tried to make the environment a race issue, and he wouldn’t stand for it, it’s about time a democrat stood up to her!
Its about time .Nothing more prejudice than bleeding heart white liberals who think they know whats best for other races .The gall of her and others coming from cushy x-urbs thinking they know whats right that they are needed to straighten out inner city issues -or any of the issues .I commend him for his stance.
What do you think of kofi kingston in the elimination chamber?
will he win?
will he steal the show?
would his popularity rise even higher?
personally i am happy he is in the elimination chamber, but not the part he deafted kane, but i am happy for him we can expect great things from the first jamaican superstar in the wwe.
I doubt he will win, but his popularity is sure to rise. I would prefer to see Kane in the Elimination Chamber though. Kane has been in the wwe so much longer and they are treating him like garbage. It would have been nice to finally see Kane get a push…
how many grams of oxygen are required to fill 30000liter hyperbaric chamber at pressure of 250cmHg at 68dgresF
Assume you can use the Ideal Gas Law
You know the pressure (convert to atmospheres)
You know the temperature (convert to degrees Kelvin)
You know the Volume (30000 L)
You are asked to find the grams of O2
PV = nRT so n = PV/RT
That will give you the moles of O2 (Molecular Weight = 32)
So 1 mole = 32 grams.
The only tedious part is converting P and T into the desired units (as required by the units of R, the gas constant)
Labor Unions are at an all-time low in popularity. Why doesn’t the GOP have the guts to stand up to them?
http://www.gallup.com/poll/122744/Labor-Unions-Sharp-Slide-Public-Support.aspx
48% of Americans now approve of labor unions, according to Gallup’s latest poll. This is the fewest since Gallup began polling in the 1930s (when labor unions first became significant after they gained the backing of the federal government thanks to FDR’s Wagner Act).
Prior to this year, the lowest all-time support for union thugs was in 1979 and 1981.
Although unions are less popular across partisan lines, the biggest drop has been amongst the increasingly libertarian-leaning Independents.
Most people now understand what economists have long understood, that labor unions help their own workers at the expense of non-union workers. Unions, in order to prop up their own wages, must create an artificial scarcity of workers, which harms those whom the unions run out of the labor market (this is why labor unions have been so enthusiastic over the years in supporting minimum wage laws and restrictions on how much young people can work, even though union workers are paid well above minimum wage, as this takes away the threat of employers replacing union members with a greater number of unskilled workers; in South Africa, all-white unions were instrumental in bringing about apartheid to protect themselves against competition from black workers).
If the Republican Party wishes to win over the large number of Americans who want to get rid of union thuggery, they need only support repealing the federal laws that enable labor unions to operate. If the Wagner-Taft-Hartley Act were to be repealed (and all other federal labor legislation) and the status quo prior to FDR restored, the invisible hand of the free market will run these criminal cartels called unions out of business. To get rid of unions in the public sector, the GOP need only eliminate the public sector jobs (in the case of vital government services, the GOP should refuse to deal with the union when the contract expires, the union will go on strike, and then the union workers can be replaced with "scabs," permanently deunionizing the public sector as well).
Furthermore, the GOP stands to benefit politically from weakening labor unions. Unions tend to fund the Democratic Party and other leftist organizations. By reducing the amount of money that the Democrats have to air ads, the GOP would increase its own influence.
It is possible for a Republican majority backed up by a Republican president (as it seems increasingly likely that we will soon have) to end labor unions once and for all as a force in this country. Why don’t the Republicans have the courage to stand up to organized crime?
This administration is bringing many things to light most people were oblivious to. I see changes coming in the future away from socialist and fascist ideologies. America will possibly be what America was meant to be again.
How heavy was William Howard Taft at his inauguration?
Been searching on the Internet and cannot find the exact weight of President Taft on his inauguration. If someone could help me out on this it would be appreciated.
(P.S. If you answer, please put the website you found it from. thanks)
His top weight 350 was only during his running for President and afterwards he lost about 50 lbs and pretty much stayed in that zone. That was really fat in those days but in the last 20 years with so many americans obese it wouldn’t have been such a big deal.
I just googled taft weight and got a graph
i am commerce graduate to make career in hardware and networking is good decision or bad?
i am commerce graduate and want to know it is suitable for me to doing ‘hardware and networking ‘course? i also want to know of job opportunities after completing this course.
good decision, you will get a job if you pick up skills and on your own if you can solve problems quickly.
why did the Blk Chamber of Commerce President go ballistic on Sen Boxer and call her a racist?
I saw the clip and it just looked like she was trying to help him understand what he should think.
Perfect ten way tie so will send to the community and go and vote. But interesting and thanks.
Imagine for a moment that the ranking Republican at that hearing, Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), had been accused of racism by Alford.
Do you think this would have gotten media’s attention?
In fact, as it occurred on the same day President Obama was speaking at the gala for the 100th anniversary of the NAACP, such remarks by a Republican would have been used as an example of how racism is still a problem in our nation.
I guess media didn’t want to use what happened between Alford and Boxer to demonstrate such.
Any wonder why?
